ON THE RAW (Barcelona)

On the Raw ist ein aktuelles JazzProg-Musikprojekt aus Barcelona mit Mitgliedern der Prog-Rock-Band Harvest.

Die Band besteht aus Jordi Amela, Jordi Prats und Alex Ojea. Beide Jordis spielten in den 90er-Jahren auch bei Dracma. Flötist und Saxophonist Pep Espasa (Apple Smell Colour, Utròpic und Otxque!) sowie der Bassist Toni Sànchez (Tràfic, KantFreudKafka) komplettlieren das Line-up.

Ihre Instrumentalmusik ist beeinflusst von einer vielfältigen Palette musikalischer Farben - angefangen von Supertramp und Pink Floyd's symphonischem Rock über Spyro Gyra's Jazz-Fusion bis Snarky Puppy's Groove. On the Raw erreichen einen ganz eigenen Klang und eine eigene Identität. Ihr letztes Album „Climbing the Air” ist ein Tribut an alle, die das Unmögliche erreichen wollen.
